KendallWatch celebrates One year Anniversary

Police Dog threatens to steal the show!

Monday, September 13, 2004......7-8:30 p.m.

at Kendall Elementary School, 6547 Kendall Road, Maple Falls, WA

KendallWatch members have planned a little celebration to mark their first anniversary, but they're suspecting they may be a little upstaged. There's going to be a special guest, one who must be kept away from the cake, even  though he promises a different kind of treat.

The Whatcom County Sheriff's Department will be visiting the meeting and providing a police dog demonstration at the September 13 meeting of KendallWatch. The dog, his officer, and several guest speakers offer an hour's program and then a chance to mingle at this monthly event.

Join in our celebration as we toast the milestone's accomplished during the past year of KendallWatch. We will give a short recap of the past year's accomplishments, and updates on what is going on in the county re: meth awareness and new controls. The meeting will end in a small celebration.

In addition to our brief recaps,

  • our new Deputy..Deputy Langley will say a few words.
  • Jim DeGolier and Rich Emerson from STAR will speak about their ongoing project to combat meth in the county.
  • There's also a new project on the pipeline, Ellen Barton from the Chain of Trails project, which is working to develop safe walking and biking paths in our area, will tell us what that means, and how residents can "walk" to show their support at a local event on Oct. 6, 2004.

The meeting will end in a small celebration!

Come and celebrate with us!
