Reporting properties in violation of Health Code

Recently several citizens have asked what the process is for reporting properties in violation of the Whatcom County Health Code.

The codes specifically addressing Solid waste is Title 8 and Title 24. “Solid waste” means: All putrescible and nonputrescible solid and semisolid wastes, including, but not limited to, biomedical waste, garbage, rubbish, ashes, industrial wastes, swill, sewage sludge, demolition and construction wastes, abandoned vehicles or parts thereof, contaminated soils and contaminated dredged material, and recyclable materials.

Noise Ordinance

The weather is heating up and the daylight hours are longer. With warm weather and sun comes gatherings, parties, and increased noise. The Whatcom County Council adopted a noise ordinance to provide guidelines for loud or unusual noise.
